First Trojka Iz Bloka in Las Vegas

As the world wide sensation Trojka iz Bloka sweeps across Europe, it is also taking hold here in the United States. This year, for the first time since Trojka iz Bloka started in the US, our Charity Three Point shooting tournament was held in fabulous Las Vegas! Joining Chicago and New York as host cities, the desert venue in March proved to be a perfect combination for a great turnout.

Along with the Charity Three Point tourney, a 3on3 basketball tournament was also held prior to shooting threes.

With 12 teams competing, the action was intense all day until finally Partizanske Trojke was able to top Yugo 45 for the title of Champion of the First annual Trojka Iz Bloka 3on3 Tournament.

After the 3on3 tournament finished, the balls came out and everyone started to warm up for the main event. With over 100 people in attendance including competitors from Las Vegas, New Orleans, Los Angeles and Chicago, the chaos seemed fitting of the Las Vegas setting.

For the first ever Trojka iz Bloka Charity Three Point Tournament we had 40 competitors taking aim at a new championship crown and helping Serbian families in the Balkans.

The preliminary rounds at Red Ridge Park showed promise, but things really started to heat up in the semifinals when multiple players were scoring 15 points per round out of 31.

In the end, Petar Georgijev bested everyone and claimed the inaugural crown of the first ever Trojka Iz Bloka Las Vegas! Second place went to the youngster Pedja Lalic and third went to Uros Vukovic.

The first ever Trojka iz Bloka Las Vegas tournament was a huge success by all measures! Great attendance, great competition and great atmosphere. We would like to thank our local hosts, Milenko Mrakovic, Ivan Aleksic and Aleksa Draganic for coordinating and organizing such a great event. And of course, such a successful tournament could not have been organized without the help of our sponsors: California Tree Service, Fox Freight, N–Radio and Café Prince. With their help and everyone who attended, we were able to raise $5,565 at the inaugural Trojka Iz Bloka Las Vegas.

We can’t say enough about the generosity and kindness we felt in Las Vegas and are looking forward to coming back next year to an even Bigger event!
