"Birthday party from the block" in Melbourne

Our compatriots in Melbourne came up with a great way of birthday celebration that brings a spiritual benefit. Families Stefanovich and Eror have organised a "bundled" birthday party in the hall of Holy Trinity Parish in Brunswick, Melbourne, on Saturday 22 February. Instead of customary presents, the celebrants asked for donations for the Church and our reputable charity Serbs for Serbs.

It is difficult to find words to describe the living conditions under which 11 year old Boban Milutinović and his five siblings – Bobana (13), Sanela (8), Darko (5), Aleksandra (3) and Lazar (1), are being raised. They all live in one room which is essentially their entire house – bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, with an extension to a bathroom!

Born in a stable, living today without basic necessities – Dunja (3) from Kosovo and Metohija

Three-year-old Dunja Nasković lives in the remote and isolated village of Odevce in Kosovo and Metohija, between Novo Brdo and Kosovska Kamenica. She is one of only a few children living in this village where only 50 Serbs remain.

For the first time, Atlanta hosted Trojka iz bloka

On Sunday, October 20, 2019, Serbs for Serbs USA hosted our 1st annual Charity Three Point Tournament Trojka Iz Bloka Boston in Atlanta, Georgia at the Sts Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. The first time tournament was as a huge success and was able to raise $1,310 for impoverished Serbian families in the Balkans.

SFS on Serbian festivals in Chicago

In Chicago, after the hot summer months pass by and the cooler weather sets in, it’s festival time. During August and September, the Chicago Serbian community comes out in force to celebrate Serbian heritage, traditions, culture and food! Locally, this is referred to as SERBFEST!! "Football tennis from the Blocks" for the first time in New York!

On Monday, October 28th, members of charity organization Serbs for Serbs from New York organized a "Football tennis from the Blocks" tournament together with the owner of  The Ground in Chinatown, Manhattan. Fans of soccer gathered from all sections of the Big Apple to compete in this mini-tournament and help socially impoverished families with many children. Eight teams and 16 contestants competed, and we were able to collect $610 in donations.

Charity organization Serbs for Serbs raised 4 million euros in donations!

From November 2005 to October 2019, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs raised 4 million euros in donations, which has provided aid to over 2.450 underprivileged families with more than 13.000 children across the Balkans. The first million was collected by August 2014, the second million was collected by June 2017, the third million was collected by November 2018, and the fourth was collected in less than a year!
