Visit monasteries on Kosovo and Metohija

With the blessing of His Holyness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, another two-day trip will be organized to visit the Serbian sanctuaries and enclaves on Kosovo and Metohija, to which the Independent Association of Students will personally bring the charity help. The departure to this pilgrimage is planned for Friday night, June 3 2016, and the reservations can be made on +381 (0) 64 40 40 579.

PLAN OF THE TRIP:

Friday (June 3)
- Departure in the evening hours from Belgrade, starting point at St. Sava’s Temple.

Saturday (June 4)
- We arrive at Gazimestan in the morning. Afterwards we visit the church in Pristina, Gracanica, Draganac monastery, Cernica village, Prizren (Bogorodica Ljeviska church, St. Archangels monastery), and go to Zociste to vigil. The dinner, overnight stay and socializing with the locals is organized in Velika Hoca and Orahovac, where we can visit the Decane winery and the St. Stephen church.

Sunday (June 5)
-Visiting the Workshop of local handicrafts Jefimija in Velika Hoca. Visiting Visoki Decani monastery on the Holy Liturgy. Visiting Patriarchy of Pec, Devic monastery Kosovska Mitrovica and Socanica monastery. Return to Belgrade in the evening hours.

We travel by bus under the police surveillance. The number of seats is limited.

The price of the trip is 45 EUR (it can be paid in dinar equivalent). The lodging is organized in the private houses, and the dinner in the church dining room. WE WOULD LIKE TO ASK PEOPLE WHO PLAN TO PRODUCE PROBLEMS NOT TO APPLY. WE GO TO VISIT OUR PEOPLE AND PROVIDE THEM SUPPORT IN A PEACEFUL AND CULTURAL MANNER.

Apart from the financial help, the charity help needed includes:
- Food: flour, sugar, salt, oil, vegetables, fruit, canned food…
- Hygiene: washing powder, shampoos, soaps…
