Successful football derby in Loznica
Second in a row football derby between Partizan and RedStarfans was held on May 9, 2016, at the stadium of FC Loznica. There were about 500 spectators and the sum raised at the derby was 210,000 Dinars: 202,000 Dinars made from selling the tickets and 8,000 Dinars of donations. The whole sum was forwarded to the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs for helping socially disadvantaged families in the area of Loznica Municipality. Although of secondary importance, the final score of the soccer derby was a 3-3 draw.
This soccer derby was supported by Dragan Micic, former Red Star attacker and Damir Kahriman, first Red Star goalkeeper, by donating jerseys which will soon be sold at a charity auction. Also, Dragan played at the match in the Red Star team. The organizers of the tournament would especially like to thank KUD Karadzic Loznica, FC Loznica, TV Lotel, TV Podrinje, Loznicke novosti, Jiu Jitsu club Loznica and Tronosa voda.
In the last year’s first soccer derby in Loznica, in 2015, the sum of 176,800 Dinars of donations was raised, which was used to provide valuable charity aid for the Todorovic family with five children from the village Gornje Borine, Loznica Municipality. The aid consisted of reconstructing their family house – installing the floor in three rooms, installing floor and wall tiles in the bathroom, replacing sanitary ware and worn out windows, and purchasing a new stove, water heater, vacuum cleaner and wardrobes for the children’s rooms.
