50 years of St. Nikola church in Chicago
The Chicago chapter of Serbs for Serbs attended the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Sv. Nikola Serbian Orthodox Church in Brookfield, IL on Saturday and Sunday September 12 and 13. We wanted to show our support for the church as well as to help raise awareness of our organizations and collect donations. We had many visitors to our booth who were introduced to the organization for the first time as well as visitors who were very familiar with our charity work. We were able to collect $460 in donations for the two days we were there.

Sv. Nikola and it's folklore group Moravac have support the work of Serbs for Serbs for many years. We hope to continue to attend their events for many years to come and continue this great relationship.

We were also visited by members of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church from Joliet, IL who has also been following our work online for a long time. They have invited us to attend one of their church events this coming weekend so that we can meet their parishioners in person. We will eagerly join them next weekend at their church.

We would like to thank all of the people who visited our booth and everyone who were kind enough to make a donation. We hope that we can continue attending similar events in the Chicago area and continue increase the awareness of our charity work and organization.
